England and Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney was detained by police in London after allegedly headbutting a man inside a nightclub.
As reported by İdman.Biz citing The Sun, the incident occurred when a man attempted to grab the footballer by the neck to take a selfie.
Witnesses said the victim suffered a bloody nose, and doctors later confirmed a fracture. Police arrived on the scene and arrested the 29-year-old forward on suspicion of two counts of assault and one count of disorderly conduct. The victim was taken to hospital, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening. Toney has been released on bail while the investigation continues.
The footballer had travelled to London during a break in Al Ahli’s schedule. Earlier reports indicated that a return to the Premier League could improve his chances of being selected for England’s 2026 World Cup squad.
