A return of Flamengo striker Juninho Olávio to Qarabag appears unlikely.
According to Idman.biz, citing Brazilian media, the 29-year-old forward plans to remain in Brazil if he changes clubs during the upcoming transfer window.
Sources report that Juninho has agreed to join Bahia, which has already made an official offer for the player. The main task now is to finalize the terms between the clubs. Flamengo is ready to sell the forward for 5 million euros — the same amount the club paid Qarabag earlier this year — while Bahia is seeking a discount, noting that Juninho is not a regular part of Flamengo’s starting lineup.
Qarabag is interested in bringing their former striker back on loan, but Flamengo insists on a permanent transfer.
It should be noted that Juninho moved from Qarabag to Flamengo earlier this year. The Brazilian club has since played him in 32 matches, in which he scored four goals.
