Two “Qarabag” players are at risk of suspension in the UEFA Champions League.
As Idman.Biz reports, the players in danger are defenders Mateus Silva and Kevin Medina.
Brazilian right-back Silva received yellow cards in the group-stage matches against Denmark’s “Copenhagen” (2:0, Matchday 2) and England’s “Chelsea” (2:2, Matchday 4).
Colombian defender Medina was booked against “Chelsea” and in Italy against “Napoli” (0:2, Matchday 5).
According to the regulations, any player who receives a third yellow card in the group stage will automatically miss the following match. For this reason, both players must be cautious in the Matchday 6 clash against Dutch side “Ajax”. Otherwise, the Azerbaijani champions may face significant squad losses for the match against Germany’s “Eintracht”.
It should be noted that “Qarabag” will face “Ajax” on December 10, and “Eintracht” on January 21, 2026.
