During The Wayne Rooney Show podcast, Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney recalled playing a friendly match against his school teachers — an encounter that ended painfully for one opponent, Idman.Biz reports.
“I was playing in a school match — me, Steve McManaman, and Phil Jagielka against the teachers, and literally the whole school was around the pitch. You could feel the pressure on you,” Rooney said.
“And I dislocated a teacher’s shoulder. He was a young substitute teacher. I think he used to work at Manchester City and was running around trying to challenge everyone. It was a battle of dads versus teachers. He ran up to me, and I just pushed him with my shoulder. The guy fell on his shoulder and it didn’t look good.”
Rooney noted that the kids were thrilled by the action — except for his son Kai. “He was standing on the sidelines,” Rooney laughed. “And he reacted like: ‘No, not him! Attack the biology teacher!’”
