Roberto Mancini agrees to take charge of Al-Sadd

Roberto Mancini has agreed to become the new head coach of Qatari side Al-Sadd.

According to Idman.biz, citing insider Fabrizio Romano, the contract will include a clause allowing Mancini to leave the club in the summer of 2026 — a condition that was crucial for the coach, and both parties have reached an agreement.

It is expected that the Italian will sign the contract once all formalities are completed. Mancini’s most recent position was head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team.

As a player, the 59-year-old represented Bologna, Sampdoria, and Lazio. In his coaching career, he has managed Lazio, Inter, Manchester City, Galatasaray, and Zenit during the 2017/18 season. Mancini also led the Italian national team to victory at Euro 2020.
