“Every athlete faces difficult moments in life, but it’s hard to believe when it happens to us,” Qarabag midfielder Kadi Borges wrote in a post on his personal Instagram account, Idman.Biz reports.

The 29-year-old expressed his feelings after sustaining a leg injury in the 2:2 draw against England’s Chelsea in the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage:
“This situation cannot take away my smile or my belief that it is part of the process. I am sure I will return stronger, having learned a lot from this moment.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love and caring messages. I love you all and carry each of you in my heart.”
It was reported that Borges has a fracture in his left fibula, with treatment and recovery expected to take approximately 8–10 weeks. This means the Brazilian midfielder will miss at least the upcoming matches against Napoli and Ajax.
