The Appeals Committee of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has upheld sanctions imposed on seven players from the Malaysia national team.
According to Idman.biz, FIFA’s official website confirmed that the players’ appeals were rejected.
Earlier, FIFA suspended the Malaysian players for 12 months for falsifying official documents. The sanctioned players are Facundo Garces, Gabriel Felipe, Rodrigo Olgado, Imanol Machuca, Joao Figueiredo, Hector Hevel, and former Sabah player Jon Irastorza.
It should be noted that Jon Irastorza, who joined the “Sabah” in 2022, made 98 appearances for the club, scoring six goals. During his time with Sabah, he won the Azerbaijan Cup and earned silver and bronze medals in the Premier League.
