According to Idman.Biz, law enforcement officers in St. Petersburg have detained suspects involved in the attempted abduction of the well-known footballer.
The Investigative Committee reported that the first kidnapping attempt occurred on October 23.
At that time, the footballer managed to fend off the criminals with the help of hockey player Alexander Grakun.
Criminal cases have been initiated under the Russian Criminal Code for kidnapping, robbery, and attempted kidnapping. Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
