Kapaz goalkeeper Mammad Huseynov has commented on the unfortunate incident that occurred in the 26th minute of their match against Imishli.
According to Idman.Biz, he shared details and his perspective on the episode via his personal Instagram account.
The player explained that while running toward the ball, he tore his left calf muscle, which caused him to lose full control and made the collision unavoidable:
"After my muscle tore, I was in sharp pain and completely lost control at that moment. I couldn’t stop myself, and it was impossible to make a proper play on the ball. In the photo taken at that moment, my facial expression clearly shows the pain and helplessness."

Huseynov emphasized that he has a friendly relationship with fellow player Vusal Qanbarov and that the incident was not intentional:
"No one would deliberately risk their career to make such a challenge. I am friends with Vusal and would never want something like this to happen. It just wasn’t possible to prevent it because of my torn muscle."
The goalkeeper wished his colleague a speedy recovery and apologized to both his teammates and fans:
"I pray for Vusal Qanbarov’s healing and hope he returns to the field strong as soon as possible. I apologize to my teammates and our fans for leaving my team on the field alone and for my role in our defeat. I wish none of this had ever happened."
The match ended in a 0:3 defeat for Kapaz.
