Former Manchester United and Portugal national team player Luis Nani expressed admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo’s physical condition and professionalism, İdman.Biz reports.
According to Nani, Ronaldo stood out from a young age due to his skill level and constant desire to improve:
“Cristiano was always a very advanced player for his age. He’s one year older than me, and I already knew him when he was at Nacional’s youth team and I was at Sporting. Everyone knew who he was. He played not with his peers but with older players and handled the ball fantastically. He inspired all young footballers,” Nani said.
Commenting on Ronaldo’s potential retirement, Nani noted that only Cristiano himself will decide when to stop, but he is capable of playing for many more years if he wishes:
“I don’t know how much longer Cristiano can play. But he takes great care of his body. We’ve seen Japanese and Chinese players compete until 50 - why not him? I think he just wants to achieve his goals and then maybe move on to something else. As long as he’s playing, he’ll give everything he has.”
It should be noted that Cristiano Ronaldo is approaching the milestone of 1,000 career goals, continuing to perform at a high level and remain one of the most prolific players in football history.
