The press service of Greek football club Panathinaikos has announced the appointment of Rafael Benitez as head coach.
According to Idman.Biz, Benitez gained wide recognition while managing Valencia, winning the Spanish league twice and claiming the UEFA Cup.
From 2004 to 2010, he managed Liverpool, leading the club to numerous successes, including the UEFA Champions League title in the 2004/2005 season.
Benitez’s most recent position was at Celta, which he managed from July 2023 to March 2024. Previously, Panathinaikos was led by Rui Vitoria.
