If Qarabag secures a win against Athletic Bilbao in the UEFA Champions League group stage, the club plans to award its players a significant financial bonus, Idman.Biz reports, citing sportinfo.az.
The bonus is expected to start at 110,000–120,000 AZN for players in the starting lineup. If the team earns a draw, they will receive half of the stated amount.
Currently, Qarabag sits 10th with 6 points, while Bilbao, having lost their first two matches, is 35th in the standings.
Qarabag defeated Benfica 3:2 in the first group stage match in Portugal and won 2:0 against Copenhagen in Baku during the second round. Players received over 100,000 AZN each for the victory in Portugal and around 80,000 AZN for the win against Copenhagen.
The match at San Mames Stadium is scheduled to kick off today at 20:45 Baku time.
