Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone commented on the 0–4 defeat against London’s Arsenal in the 3rd round of the League Stage of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League, Idman.Biz reports.
“I would say this is the best team we’ve faced so far this season. They fight very well, run tirelessly, and move forward constantly. Their overall play across the pitch is of the highest quality. We are in the process of improving, and we simply need to keep working on it. I think we played very well at the beginning, but from the 60th minute onward, our opponent was stronger and fully deserved the victory. Now we need to move on from this and focus in training on what we did right while making necessary adjustments,” Simeone’s words were quoted by UEFA’s official website.
After three rounds, Atletico have collected three points and sit 18th in the League Stage standings, while Arsenal are in third place with nine points.
