Former Azerbaijan national team and Qarabag striker Vuqar Nadirov has left his position as head coach of the Second League club Shamkir.
According to fanat.az, Nadirov himself confirmed the decision.
He explained that following yesterday’s 0:1 home defeat to Qaradag Lokbatan in the league’s sixth round, he discussed the situation with club management and agreed to end their collaboration.
Currently, Shamkir has nine points from six games and sits 6th in the league table. Nadirov had been in charge of the club since summer 2024, leading the team to a 5th-place finish in the 2024/25 season. Although he stepped down as head coach this summer, he later returned to the club before now parting ways again.
