Azerbaijan’s national football team goalkeeper Shahruddin Mammadaliyev has distinguished himself with solid performances in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Idman.Biz, citing UEFA, reports that the 31-year-old goalkeeper played in all four D-group matches so far, recording a total of 19 saves. This averages to 4.75 saves per game. Similarly, Stole Dimitrievski of North Macedonia also made 19 crucial saves for his team.
With these stats, both players share 11th-12th place among 82 goalkeepers in the qualifiers.
Leading the list is Edoardo Colombo from San Marino with 34 saves, followed by Benyamin Buchel (Liechtenstein, 30 saves), and Iker Alvarez (Andorra, 26 saves).
To date, Azerbaijan has conceded 11 goals and scored 2 goals in their four World Cup qualifying matches.
