This was stated by Yuriy Maksymov, former head coach of Keshla (now Shamakhi), in an interview with sport24.az.
The Ukrainian specialist confirmed that he received several offers from Azerbaijan after leaving the country.
He also addressed rumors linking him to Kapaz: “I cannot say anything on this matter. I haven’t heard such information. Previously, I have received offers from your country. I was contacted through close friends.”
It should be noted that Yuriy Maksymov served as Keshla’s head coach during the second half of the 2017/2018 season, leading the team to win the Azerbaijan Cup.
