Azerbaijan national team player Elvin Badalov has spoken about his brief exchange with Kylian Mbappe during the 2026 World Cup qualifying match against France.
Badalov shared the details in a statement to “Qafqazinfo.”
He said that their conversation with the French star was about Mbappe’s injury:
“We had actually talked about his injury earlier as well. Then his leg started hurting again. I told him, ‘If you’re in pain, ask for a substitution - that way you’ll feel better, and so will we.’ He replied, ‘Yes, I’m in pain, I’ll ask for a substitution soon.’ There was no other conversation.”
