The international chess tournament “Vugar Gashimov Open 2025,” organized by the Vugar Gashimov Chess Foundation, is ongoing in Baku.
The 6th round of games will take place today, Idman.biz reports.
After 5 rounds, two Azerbaijani chess players, Tunar Davudov and Shiroghlan Talibov, are leading the tournament. Both have a perfect score of 5 points.
The tournament has been included in the “Chess Tour Azerbaijan” project, which is being held for the first time at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation. A total of 206 players from 6 countries are competing in the 11th edition of the tournament.
