A team tournament among northern regional schools dedicated to "July 20 – International Chess Day" was held in Khachmaz, organized by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation.
The first move of the tournament was made by the head of the YAP Khachmaz district organization Mahammad Balaqadashov, ACF commission head Zeinab Mamedjarova, and the head of the Guba-Khachmaz Regional Youth and Sports Department Gumru Mammadova, Idman.biz reports.
The winners of the tournament were the chess players from Khachmaz. Guba finished second, while Shabran placed third.
