Azerbaijani chess player Khagan Ahmad pulls one point ahead of closest rivals at International Lankaran Open festival.
Idman.biz reports that in the seventh round, Ahmad secured his sixth victory in the tournament, bringing his total score to six points and distancing himself from his competitors.
Five participants, including Ukrainian rapid chess winner Vitaliy Bernadskiy and Rustam Rustamov, each have five points.
The Lankaran Open is held under the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation as part of the Chess Tour Azerbaijan.
