The names of the chess players who will participate in the "Vugar Gashimov Memorial-2023" supertournament, dedicated to the memory of the outstanding chess player, European champion Vugar Hashimov, have been announced.
Idman.biz reports that the director of the competition, Anar Allahverdiyev, informed about this at the press conference today.
He said that Indian Vidit Gujrathi Santosh, Richárd Rapport, Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Jorden Van Foreest, Boris Gelfand will participate in "Vugar Gashimov Memorial-2023".
Teymur Rajabov, Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Nijat Abbasov, Rauf Mammadov and Vugar Gashimov Chess Club members will compete among the local intellectuals.
It should be noted that the tournament will be held in Gabala on December 7-11.
