The Chess Tour Azerbaijan project, initiated by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF), continues with the Lankaran Open festival.
According to the ACF press service, the opening ceremony of the tournament was held today in Lankaran, Idman.biz reports.
Players from four countries are participating in the event. Group A features 38 players, while Group B has 140 participants.
The Lankaran Open will follow the Swiss system across nine rounds and will conclude on July 13. A rapid and blitz tournament will also be held as part of the festival.
