Azerbaijani chess player Vugar Rasulov took second place at an international tournament held in Ankara, Turkiye.
He defeated fellow countryman Ravan Aliyev in the final to score 6.5 points but fell short of Georgian player Giga Quparadze, who claimed the top spot, Idman.biz reports.
Aliyev finished the tournament in the top 16 with 5 points.
Rasulov completed the event unbeaten, winning four games and drawing five.
55 players from nine countries participated in the tournament.
