Azerbaijani chess player Azer Mirzoev secured 9th place at the Orjan Lindroth Memorial tournament held in Nassau, Bahamas.
According to Idman.biz, Mirzoev ended the tournament on a high note by defeating American player Alisa Melekhina in the final round.
With a total of 5 points, Mirzoev finished within the top 10 of the tournament standings.
Throughout the event, he recorded four wins, two draws, and three losses.
First place was claimed by American Brendan Jacobson with 6.5 points.
