Azerbaijani chess player Mahammad Muradli is experiencing a downturn at the ongoing Dubai Open tournament in the United Arab Emirates.

Muradli suffered his second consecutive defeat in the seventh round, losing to Iran’s Sina Movahed, Idman.biz reports.

With 4 points, Muradli currently ranks 24th, falling behind fellow Azerbaijani player Shiroglan Talibov, who also has 4 points but leads on tiebreak criteria after defeating India’s Iniyan P.
