Azerbaijani grandmaster Eltaj Safarli is currently competing in the Grand Prix PlusCity tournament held in Linz, Austria.
According to Idman.biz, the event is being contested in fast time control formats.
Safarli claimed 4th place in the blitz competition, earning 10 points out of 13 games. He finished just half a point behind the silver and bronze medalists.
The tournament was won by Iranian grandmaster Parham Maghsoodloo, who scored 12 points.
Next up for Safarli is the rapid section of the tournament.
