Azerbaijani chess player Eltaj Safarli is set to take part in a tournament in Austria.
He will compete in the Grand Prix PlusCity Rapid Chess Tournament held in Linz, Idman.biz reports.
The event schedule includes blitz (May 29), rapid (May 30), as well as the Austrian Team Championships in blitz (May 31) and rapid chess (June 1).
A total of 262 players, including 43 grandmasters, will participate in the rapid chess competitions. The rating list is led by Russian grandmaster Alexander Grischuk.
