Indian chess player Vidit Santosh will not participate in the 10th Vugar Gashimov Memorial to be held in Shusha.
Idman.biz reports that this decision was made because the Indian team won the World Chess Olympiad held in Budapest.
The team members will attend state events and will be hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Therefore, Vidit Santosh applied to the Organizing Committee regarding his replacement.
Instead of Vidit Santosh, another Indian chess player Aravindh Chithambaram will take part at the Vugar Gashimov Memorial.
