Grandmaster evaluated the chances of Nijat Abasov in the Candidates Tournament, which will start on April 4 in Canada. He said that the approach in this competition is different: "Only the first place is important. Nijat is the last in the ranking. Usually the ranking is quite accurate in terms of race prediction. I underestimate the chances of winning. But overall there is a chance to play well. Especially everyone will try to win points by taking risks in the match with him. Abasov can properly use these opportunities."
Durarbayli considers the presence of many young chess players in the tournament to be an advantage for our chess player: "Indian chess players will compete in this competition for the first time. This is partly a good thing for Nijat."
It should be noted that Abasov will face Ian Nepomniachtchi in the first round on April 4.
