Azerbaijani boxer Subhan Babayev competed in the final bout of the “Brandenburg Cup” held in Frankfurt, Germany, among youth (U-19) athletes.
The national team member in the 60 kg weight category faced Ellisbay Selim (USA) in the decisive match, Idman.biz reports.
As the bout ended in favor of the opponent, Babayev claimed the silver medal.
The Azerbaijani boxer had previously defeated Simonas Puniskis (Lithuania), Nur Zakarie (Germany), and Mattia Turrin (Italy).
