Paris 2024 Olympic champion from Uzbekistan, Lazizbek Mullojonov, has tested positive for doping.
Idman.biz, citing Sports.uz, reports that the boxer who won the gold medal in the 92 kg weight category at the Olympics tested positive for a banned substance during a test conducted on June 11 for World Boxing.
The test revealed the presence of a metabolite of metasterone.
This substance is included in the World Anti-Doping Agency's list of prohibited substances. If the B sample also tests positive, Mullojonov will be disqualified for violating anti-doping regulations.
Mullojonov defeated Azerbaijani boxer Alfonso Dominguez in the final of Paris 2024.
