The leadership of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation (ABF) met with the men’s national team ahead of the World Championship in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
According to Idman.Biz, the ABF shared that Samir Huseynov, advisor to the ABF president, spoke about the significance of the tournament and emphasized high expectations for each boxer.
Huseynov also reviewed the team’s condition and provided guidance, noting that the lineup for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics will be formed based on results from this championship and the Azerbaijan national championship.
ABF Secretary General Nagi Safarov and Board member Rovshan Huseynov called on the boxers to recognize their responsibilities and wished them success.
The team then heard a report from head coach Ravshan Khocayev, who stated that the squad is ready for the World Championship and that the boxers’ morale is high.
The World Championship will take place from December 3–13, with Azerbaijan represented by 11 boxers.
