The quarterfinals of the U-15 European Boxing Championship concluded in Budva, Montenegro.
According to Idman.Biz, on the final day of the stage, another Azerbaijani male boxer secured a spot in the semifinals.
In the 66 kg category, Nurlan Museyibli faced Vladimir Versesjan of Estonia. He decided the fight in the first round, winning decisively and securing at least a bronze medal. Museyibli will face Arda Fidan of Turkiye in the semifinals.
In the girls’ competition, two members of the Azerbaijani team reached the finals. Nasrin Abdullazade (40 kg) defeated Elliemay Fetterston of Ireland 4:1 (30:27, 29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 28:29) in the semifinals and will face Madlin Laverik-Arnot of England in the final.
Khumar Jafarli (75 kg) overcame Alina Papashvili of Ukraine, winning the first round decisively. She will face Yagmur Eryurt of Turkiye in the final.
The tournament, featuring 369 athletes from 32 countries, will conclude on October 25.
