Another Azerbaijani boxer has advanced to the semifinals of the U-15 European Championship in Budva, Montenegro.
Idman.Biz reports that Nasrin Abdullazade defeated Esila Yildirim of Turkiye in the quarterfinals.
Competing in the 40 kg category, Abdullazade claimed a 5:0 victory (29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28), securing at least a bronze medal by reaching the semifinals. She will now face Elliemay Feterston of Ireland for a spot in the final, with the match scheduled for October 23.
The European Championship, featuring 369 boxers from 32 countries, will conclude on October 25.
