Azerbaijani boxer Subhan Babayev (60 kg) has started the U-19 European Championship in Ostrava, Czech Republic, with a victory.
According to Idman.biz, the national team member eliminated Luka Crnogorac of Croatia in the Round of 16.
The boxer defeated his opponent with a 3:1 score (29:27, 28:27, 29:27, 28:28, 27:29).
Babayev will face Simonas Puniskis of Lithuania in the quarterfinals on October 4.
The European Championship will conclude on October 9.
