13-year-old player to join Barcelona’s main squad.
Mohamed Dabone, who gained fame on social media, will join the main roster of Barcelona’s basketball team starting next season, Idman.biz reports.
According to Sport.es, the 210 cm tall 13-year-old from Burkina Faso will join the Spanish giant’s main squad alongside 17-year-old center Sayon Keita, who is 212 cm tall.
The outlet writes: “Barcelona wants Mohamed Dabone and Sayon Keita to become leading players next season. They will start training with the rest of the team.”
Both players participated in this year’s EuroLeague youth tournament in Abu Dhabi. Dabone, playing against much older opponents, averaged 12.0 points per game.
