Ahead of the new season, Azerbaijani volleyball clubs are strengthening their squads with Brazilian players.
Three clubs have already made targeted transfers by bringing in athletes from Brazil, Idman.biz reports.
National champions Azerrail have signed attacker Graciela Souza, while Ganja have added blocker Gabriela Oliveira and league debutants DH Volley have brought in Sonali Sidrao.
A Brazilian coach will also be working in the league this season. Ganja have appointed Rafael Petrini, who has previously coached in Peru, Mexico, and Colombia, as their new head coach.
