The Annual National Instructor Clinic (ANIC 2025), organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), was held in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Azerbaijan was represented at the event by international-level referee Alakbar Hasanov, Idman.biz reports.
As part of the clinic, Hasanov spoke about the performance of local referees in official games throughout the year and provided information to participants about the referee seminars conducted within the country.
During the international meeting, detailed discussions were held on the new rules to be implemented in the upcoming basketball season and their impact on refereeing. Additionally, methodological recommendations were shared with referees regarding the content and main directions of the seminars to be organized for local referees in the 2025/26 season.
This FIBA-organized clinic serves to ensure unified application of international basketball rules, enhance the professional development of referees, and strengthen experience-sharing among countries.
