The Baku stage of the 3x3 Women’s Series is underway.
The second day of the tournament, which wraps up today, began with the quarterfinal matchups, Idman.biz reports.
Azerbaijan is set to face Latvia in the quarterfinals. Just three days ago, the national team suffered a defeat against the same opponent, 11–18, in the World Cup qualifiers, missing out on a place in the decisive tournament in Mongolia. Now, the Azerbaijani team is seeking revenge against the Baltic side.
The winner of the Latvia vs. Azerbaijan clash will meet the victor of the China vs. Austria game in the semifinals.
