Former Qarabağ midfielder Abdellah Zoubir will continue his career with Saudi Arabian club Al-Orobah after the issue surrounding his registration was resolved.
İdman.Biz reports that the club has completed the necessary procedures to register the 34-year-old player.
It was previously reported that Zoubir's contract could not be registered because Al-Orobah's financial guarantees did not meet the requirements of the Saudi league. As a result, the former Qarabağ player was reportedly considered a free agent.
According to L'Équipe, the Saudi club's management subsequently took the necessary steps and successfully registered Zoubir. The club contacted the player to inform him that the problem had been resolved and that he would be eligible to represent the team during the season.
Zoubir joined Qarabağ from Lens in 2018 and spent eight years with the Azerbaijani champions. During that period, he made 368 appearances and scored 78 goals.
The 34-year-old ranks seventh on Qarabağ's all-time appearance list and second among the club's leading goalscorers.
Zoubir won the Azerbaijan Premier League six times and the Azerbaijan Cup twice with Qarabağ. He is also the highest-scoring player for Azerbaijani clubs in European competitions, having netted 18 goals on the continental stage.
