The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has carried out a major staff reduction in its Press and Public Relations Department.
According to information obtained by İdman.Biz, the existing employment contracts of five department employees have been terminated ahead of schedule.
AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev reportedly informed the employees working under department head Murad Akhundov that they should not report for work from September 1.
The decision is said to have been made because the Press and Public Relations Department failed to meet the expected standards in carrying out its PR-related tasks.
Among those dismissed are Ruslan Sadigov, editor of AFFA's official website, affa.az, and SMM manager Mehman Ashrafov. The names of the other three employees whose contracts have been terminated have not been disclosed.
The move follows a series of other personnel changes at AFFA. Emin Jafarov, head of the Competitions Organization Department, Fuad Jafarov, director of the Infrastructure Department, and Farrukh Ismayilov, acting head of the Grassroots Football Department, were previously dismissed from their positions.
