The theoretical lessons of a special program for students studying judo coaching in Guba have started, based on a tripartite memorandum of understanding signed between the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF), Azerbaijan Sports Academy, and the University of Hertfordshire, UK.
Local expert Orkhan Safarov conducted seminars on "The Role and Responsibilities of a Judo Instructor," while British expert Bob Challis held sessions on "Health and Safety in Judo.", Idman.biz reports.
Within the program, practical judo lessons are also being held under the guidance of Professor Mike Callan from the University of Hertfordshire.
The main goal of the initiative is to ensure that students studying coaching acquire knowledge and skills in accordance with international standards.
More than 60 students are participating in the program.
